This policy covers the Annum app for iPhone and this website. In short: the app collects no personal data, has no account and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking. Everything is developed on your iPhone.
Camera
Annum asks for camera access so you can take photographs. Each picture is developed on your device. The silent-film camera records video frames without sound; the microphone is never used. Photos and videos are never uploaded or analysed on a server.
Photos library
Annum saves every finished photo and film to your Photos library, in an album called Annum. It asks for permission to add photos; if iOS asks for wider access in order to create the Annum album, Annum still never browses or reads your other photos. To develop an existing photo you pick it in the system photo picker, and the app receives only that picture. The app keeps a copy of your last 50 pictures in its own storage on the device (the Roll).
Motion sensor
In the daguerreotype tilt viewer the app reads the phone’s tilt to show the plate as a positive or a negative. The reading is used only on screen and is never stored.
Notifications
If you start the free trial, Annum can schedule a local reminder before it ends. It is scheduled on your device; no notification server of ours is involved.
Purchases
Annum Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your card or Apple Account details. The app asks the App Store on your device whether you own Pro and keeps that status, and the free-shot counters, in the device Keychain.
Sharing
When you use the share button, the picture goes only to the destination you choose. When you share a film or copy hashtags, the suggested hashtags are placed on your clipboard; nothing is read from it.
Retention and deletion
App data lives only on your device. Deleting the app deletes the Roll and settings; Keychain items such as the purchase status and free-shot counters can remain on the device by design. Device backups follow your own backup settings.
If you write to us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to answer you. Ask us and we delete the conversation.
This website
This is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics, pixels, forms, external fonts or third-party scripts. To deliver the pages and protect them from abuse, the host processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the requested page and the time in its logs (see Cloudflare’s privacy policy). We do not use these logs to identify or track visitors.
Children
Annum is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If the app or this website ever starts handling data in a new way, this page will be updated first and the date above will change.
